Meet Mariah (aka Marely), this little cutie stole my heart!
I had the opportunity to photograph this adorable girl through volunteering with AARCS.
She is such a sweet girl who was loving running around with all of her foster siblings, showing me all of her toys and pressing her cute little nose on my lens! She was definitely more interested in cuddling with me than posing for me 😉
Definitely go check our her adoption page or any of the other amazing dogs AARCS has available for adoption
Here’s Marley’s Story:
Helllllo folks! My AARCS name is Mariah but, my foster parents didn’t think it suited me too well, so I’ve been going by Marley now. I am a young energetic pup, my foster parents think I am somewhere around 1 year old.
I am super high energy and super smart. I love to play with my foster sister Nahlah but I think I kind of annoy my foster brother Dylan who only has three legs because I won’t lay on the floor and play with him. I just can’t help myself! I want to run and jump all over the place. I would really love to have a doggie companion under 3 years old.
I am really full of it and sometimes I growl and bark when I’m playing but I don’t mean any harm by it. I am in the process of learning manners. I can sit and stay (with some patience) lay down and shake a paw. I still jump up a lot but I am learning to not do that.
I am a big suck and any human that comes near can be sure to garner some attention from me. I really love to cuddle and I am so smart that I bent the no couch rule! I get half way up so I can cuddle but leave my feet on the ground so technically I am not on the couch!
Because I am so intelligent I would love a human who is a strong leader and wants to take me to some courses. I get a little crazy on the leash, but if I’m on a long lead I know I’m not protecting you so I am good with meeting new people and dogs this way. Sometimes I get to go to the fenced in offleash park, but it has to be fenced in because I love to run so much.
I like to play Frisbee and am working on learning how to catch it in midair. My people like to bring the Frisbee with them to the fenced in offleash park to keep my attention otherwise I will run and investigate every dog or human that I see.
I love sniffing. I think I am mostly German Shepard with a bit of some sort of high energy dog mixed in. So when I go on leash walks my people like to make sure to give me extra time to sniff about to tucker me out.
I don’t think that I would like cats very much, or rather that they would like me because I love to chase and play so much. Little kids probably won’t be best for me either but if you have some pre-teens I bet I would be their very best friend!
My people say I am so smart that I know I’m not in my forever home yet, so I try to go home with all the visitors to our house. I am patiently waiting for you to come visit me!
